Check out my $100 Budget Weekly Meal Plan for this week!
$100 Budget Weekly Meal Plan PLUS Easy Recipes!
During Quarantine my food budget was out of control, but I’m trying to rein it in again by setting a budget of $100 per week to feed my husband, myself and our 19 year old daughter who’s still at home.
This week I shopped at two different stores that had great specials including:
- gallon milk $2.50
- 1 pound bacon $2.22/lb (normally $7-9/lb here)
- fresh strawberries $.99/pint
- chicken wings $.99/lb
- plum tomatoes $.25/lb
- bananas $.25/lb
- Nature’s Own bread $1.58
Weekly Total: $110.36
Please Note: I realize that different areas of the country have access to different kinds of food during this time. In my area right now we’re experiencing some limits on meat, but it’s still available. Non-perishable items are starting to become more available in the last couple of weeks (limits of 4 rather than 2), and fresh produce is abundant.
I’m sharing what we’re actually eating this week which includes a combination of both pantry items and fresh foods, so hopefully you’ll find something you can add to your meal plan.
My main goals are to:
- Encourage you to make some kind of plan to reduce your stress and your budget.
- Give you permission to serve super simple meals.
- Stir up some ideas for what you have available in your area.
