Do you mind me asking how many people and age ranges does your $125 Gluten Free Weekly Menu feed?
Hi Karen – I am basically feeding 6 adults because I have three teen girls ages 15-19, my husband and my 21 year old son who is staying with us temporarily. My husband has lunch provided to him at work five days a week and my son sometimes eats dinner out. I am not able to keep the budget to $125 every week, but it’s my goal to try. We actually decided to raise the budget to $175-$200 per week a few months ago, but I made a concerted effort to bring it back down by planning in detail, serving cheaper foods a couple of times a week and shopping mostly at Aldi where I can get the best prices.
I am not suggesting that everyone can or should have a $125 budget, just sharing what we do. Hope that helps!
