Now that we’ve increased our food budget to $175 – $200/week I have actually been able to keep the budget lower for the past two weeks. Last week I spent $118 and this week I spent $135.
So I guess we will keep the budget at $175 per week and if I come in under budget for a few more weeks we will lower it again. Budgeting is always a process!
Blueberries were 99 cents a pint this week at Aldi so I stocked up on several pints to freeze. (Read How to Freeze Blueberries HERE.)
To keep costs low for the gluten free items we shop sales, buy GF products from Aldi and order items from Vitacost (click here to grab a FREE $10 credit!).
Weekly Total: $135.16
July Monthly Total: $655.82
(This total is $155 over our previous monthly budget of $500 which is part of the reason we decided we needed to increase the budget but we’ll see how this all works out.)
