I am trying to keep my budget to only $100 a week for the month of October. If it works I may be lowering our official weekly budget to that amount.
I saved money this week by shopping at Aldi and by creating a detailed menu plan — and I actually took photos of what I purchased this week:
Aldi Produce and Dry Goods
You will notice that I purchased two loaves of French bread. I will slice these in half lengthwise and use them as pizza crusts for a super quick dinner this week. I bought the white loaf bread because we prefer it over wheat for grilled cheese sandwiches.
Aldi Dairy and Meat
Even after purchasing all the necessities this week I had money left over for a few “treats” like the cheese crackers, fruit snacks and the pistachios.
Weekly Total: $99.26
October Monthly Total: $315.54
