I was told after my daughter’s accident that it would take 6 months for our family to recover. Well, I am a little over that mark in getting back to my regular weekly planning since my last published Weekly Plan was Oct. 7 and today is March 23rd but I feel like our life is finally returning to some kind of normalcy rather than survival mode.
I think it’s best to keep planning simple but I really love taking the time to create my plan in my art journal (see photo above) and to really think about what my true priorities are for the week. Once I complete the plan I schedule everything into my personal planner (read more about my personal planner here):
My plan for this week:
PERSONAL – walk at least 5 days; go to bed by 10 p.m.; drink 6-8 glasses of water daily; daily “Brain Dump” (read more here); no eating after 8 pm
PEOPLE – date with hubby; driving practice with one daughter; date with one daughter;; coffee with a friend
PASSION – art journal time; walk in the park (I NEED nature!)
PURPOSE – (wife) connect with and encourage my husband daily; (mom) hug and pray for my kids daily; (encourager) call a friend to encourage her
PROJECTS – 10 Minute Declutter; science project with daughter; work on podcast
Yes, I really am working on the podcast I promised a few weeks ago. We have run into a few problems along the way but we hope to have the podcast up and running very soon!
You may also notice the “read with Em” note. I love reading aloud with my children so I am scheduling some reading time every week. I am also recommitting to limiting distractions like social media that prevent me from focusing on what is really important in my life. (Are you joining us for Wifiless Wednesdays?
