I am always looking for ways to save money and one item that can be a real budget buster is the cell phone plan. You can easily find a cheap plan if you don’t use any data, but most of us want internet access to be able to do work on the go.
Our current solution to keep the bill lower is to have our teens (who have jobs) pay for their own cell phone plans but I just found out about a plan that we may be switching to.
Sprint is offering a new family plan. The Sprint Family Share Pack offers up to 10 lines with 20 GB of shared high-speed data as well as Unlimited Talk and Text for only $100 a month. For a family of four that saves $60 a month over AT&T and Verizon’s current pricing plus you get double the data of Verizon and more than double the data of AT&t and T-Mobile.
For our family our current plans with four lines cost over $120 with only one phone with 1G data. We could save money and increase our available data by 20 times what we have currently!
Even better, if you bring your current cell phone number and activate the Sprint Family Share Pack, Sprint will buy out your family’s contracts with a Visa Prepaid card worth up to $350.

It always pays to check around. My husband and I have been with ATT for five years and had been sharing 1GB between us costing an outrageous $140 a month. Last month, for the first time ever we exceeded our 1G and ended up paying an extra $15 for another 1G. I checked to see if this extra 1G would carry across into the next billing cycle and of course, it didn’t. I did however, discover that back in Feb this year, ATT made the 1G shared plan obsolete for new customers, the minimum now being 2GB and this would only cost $90 a month. Existing customers could change to this but they had to request the change. Of course, ATT didn’t actually let their existing customers know this fact!! So there are a lot of people out there still paying an extra $600 a year. Maybe you could add this fact to your blog and tell folk know that they can save money here too. We have other ATT accounts too so have to stay with ATT.
By the way, I didn’t realize that there was a cash option in pinecone until I read your blog today. Thanks. I’ve just cashed out $27. Along with my other cash back apps, I’m going to be cashing out about $60 this month! Thanks for all your suggestions. I’m hoping to get going on a similar blog some time soon (now what does procrastination mean?!)
