Aldi Produce
Buying in-season, on sale produce is a great way to keep your grocery bill lower, plus it’s healthier to eat fruits and veggies.
Best Produce Deals:
cucumber $.55
avocado $.79 each
red grapes $.98/lb
bag garden salad $.99
cantaloupe $1.29 each
3 pounds navel oranges $1.99 (these are from Chile – I don’t normally buy produce from outside the U.S. but I have been craving oranges lately.)
Aldi Meat & Dairy Items (not pictured: 8 oz. package pepperoni slices)
While it is cheaper to make your own hummus I purchased some this week because I do not want to take the time to make it and the kids really like this brand.
Other Aldi Grocery Items
The Pan Turano is an artisan bread and it’s awesome for grilled cheese or garlic toast. Again, it’s cheaper to make at home but I don’t really know how to make bread like this and I have other priorities this week.
Weekly Total: $104.92
August Monthly Total: $497.33
($125/week budget for six people – average is $124.33 per week for this month.)
