$125 Budget Weekly Menu – Making a weekly meal plan keeps me sane and helps me to save money and stay on budget. I feed my family of six including four teens for around $125 a week by shopping at a discount chain and buying sale items at other grocery stores.
This week I spent $88.59 which brings my May monthly total to $391.98.

Please Note: I post my weekly menu to encourage menu planning and to give meal ideas, not as a nutritional standard. You should feed your family based on your priorities and values. You may not be able to replicate this exact menu for $125 because sales vary by region and you will have different items on hand, but you can save money just by using a menu. 🙂)

Does your family really eat the portions that you show in your pictures? I know that would not be enough for my 8yo let alone my hubby. I love to eat a variety of foods, but when it comes to feeding the hungry males and living within the budget….it’s hard.
Hi Cheryl – Most of my photos are representative of the dish I am serving but do not necessarily represent serving size. I will say though, that by eating whole foods, protein and healthy fats our portion sizes are much smaller than they were when we ate more processed foods and carbohydrate heavy meals. Of course, you should do what works for your family. 🙂
