I was feeling a little discouraged today about our financial situation, so I reminded myself of a few ways to stay positive and I made a video to share them with you too.

Hi,Kimberlee!
I know what you mean…
Reading your God Provides Stories is the best thing to motivate us! I do that, besides praising, praying, reading the Bible. And also looking around and seeing all the good things the Father has done for me and my son. Everything is a blessing,I remind myself and thank for every little thing. God is good,he is sure taking care of you and your wonderful family!
Blessings!
I am glad that I could encourage you Sandra! Blessings. ๐
Kimberlee!
As always, thanks for your thoughtful and encouraging words! It’s always something, isn’t it??!!?? And, yet, that “something” comes and goes and God is still there by our side!! Awesome! =)
I really appreciate what you said about remembering to be thankful! I was reminded of that today when I posted on my blog. I had a comment from a friend – she said when temptation, or struggle, strikes, she stops what she’s doing and writes down 10 things she is thankful for!!
And, my God moment for the day was when I got my encouraging word for the day – 1 Corinthians 10:13 – โThe temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.”
He is always with us! Keep the Faith, Dear!!!
Thank you for encouraging me Brooke!
As always, thank you Kimberlee. These last few days have been overwhelmingly stressful-financially speaking & we’re also having to make big decisions. It just makes my brain hurt! Thanks for always keeping things practical … When I’m sure you really feel like melting down!!!! Praying for your family tonight, that he will provide for y’all.
Thank you so much for your prayers Alicia. I pray that God will give you wisdom and peace and provide for all of your needs.
Great post – having one of those weeks where I have been focusing on the materialistic, the things that in the bigger picture really don’t matter. Started reading “A Purpose Driven Life” for Lent – spirituality really does help keep the focus on the parts of our life that matter most. Thanks for the encouragement:)
You are very welcome Katie!
Kimberlee,
I purchased a daily devotional about a month ago called Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. I’d love to copy and paste today’s (March 5) passage for you since it’s so applicable to your video which I just viewed, but doing so would probably violate all kinds of copyright laws. If you or your readers have the chance, visit this book on Amazon and use the “Look Inside” feature for March 5. I hope it provides some additional comfort.
Thanks so much Jennifer. I have the book and I will look up today’s verse.
We too are facing major car repairs to the point that we are looking at trying to sell and decided what to do instead . I hate the feeling of trying to make such a major decision. I wish there were coupons like buy one car get one free!
I too try to look at the positives….we still have a car, we have our health, we have heat and food!
Thank you for always offering realistic approach to life!
God will bless you and your family!
Oh, sorry about that Em. I know what you mean about the pressure of major decisions. We just have to do the best we can, right? ๐
Thankyou! your blog is the only one I have ever kept subscribing too I Love it. Thanx for sharing from your heart!
Thanks Cathie – I am so glad that you were encouraged. ๐
I have followed your blog for years. It is one of my favorites and has always been such a great source of information and encouragement, but I realized today that I totally take your blog for granted. I’m sorry! I come here and soak up good stuff and I don’t know that I’ve ever commented. Thank you so very much for your blog, thank you for being a good example of a christian woman! It is so obvious in your video that you love Jesus! The Holy Spirit shines through you and you exude the beauty and peacefulness that I strive for. I prayed for the Lord’s provision for your family. God bless you all and once again, thanks for everything. I appreciate you ๐
Thanks so much Sarah! I am so happy to hear that I have encouraged and helped you. I really appreciate your amazing encouragement! Thank you for taking the time to comment.
Thank you!!!!
You are very welcome Shawnee!
