10 Minutes A Day Decluttering: Under the Bathroom Sink
Covered up with STUFF? Join us for the 10 Minutes A Day Decluttering Challenge! We are taking just ten minutes a day to remove clutter from one area of our homes.
Clutter drains you–physically, emotionally and mentally! Simplify your life by attacking those stacks and piles of stuff.
My Progress
Last week I set a goal to work on the area underneath my bathroom sink. As you can see from the before photo, it was a little crazy!
I spent my first 10 minute session working on the white basket on the right. I removed items we did not need and re-organized what I wanted to keep.
I spent my second and third 10 minute sessions cleaning out the bin on the left side. I also got rid of the cleaners that we are not using. I removed the trash (photo above) and placed all of my free samples in a shoe box which I placed in my hall closet.
So here is the after photo:
Much better! Now I can actually find what I need.

I always find containers that have just bits of goodies left (in the tube etc). I hate to throw them away so instead I place them on the counter and I have to use those all up before I move on to anything else. Waste not want not.
Hi-
Just stumbled on your challenge. I actually just started it with another blogger. I am shocked at what a difference 10 minutes makes. Here is where I blogged about it, if you want to see: http://mylifeisthejackpot.blogspot.com/2013/07/10-minute-declutter.html
I think I will do yours too. Trust me I need 20 minutes to get this place together 🙂
Welcome! I know exactly what you meant about needing more time. 🙂
The end product looks great! I know your house is a rental, so you are probably not aloud to do anything permanent, but, have you ever thought about adding in a removable shelf in the middle to the left (so that it doesn’t effect the pipe or water hose?) Then you would be able to have more storage space. Just an idea. In my house, I’ve added all kinds of extra shelves.
Thanks for the idea Jennifer. I honestly don’t really think very much about this space, but opened the doors a couple of weeks ago and thought,”I’ve got to do something with THAT!” haha!
