Get Organized! Simplify your life with a weekly plan.
Each Sunday night I make a plan for the upcoming week to make sure that I am focusing on what is truly important in my life, rather than just crossing tasks off my to do list.
I want my life to be more than average, so I have to be intentional about how I spend my time. Planning my week enables me to accomplish tasks in line with my true priorities.
I divide my plan into five categories:
PERSONAL- habits that keep me healthy and happy
PEOPLE– activities that promote relationship with the people I love
PURPOSE– tasks that enable me to fulfill my purpose in life
PASSION– activities and experiences which enable me to enjoy life
PROJECTS– priority tasks that need to be finished this week
You can see last week’s plan here. I accomplished almost everything on my plan including exercising 4 out of 7 days, de-cluttering 10 minutes a day three days (update later this week) and enjoying a date with my husband (FREE movie thanks to doing surveys with My Points!).
I am slowly working through Creating Your Best Life: The Ultimate Life List Guide and working on my life goal list, but honestly I did not do very much with it this week except to read a few pages.
This week my focus will be preparing for the new school year. We will be starting the first week of August and I am teaching a class for our homeschool co-op, so I have some lesson planning to do, as well as ordering books for the upcoming year.
I will also be continuing my “get to bed by 10 pm” plan. Sleep is essential!

I just found you a couple of weeks ago and have been drawn to the grocery shopping posts. This one stops me in my tracks though…I love that you listed different categories and they are obviously so thoughtful. You know, each day I have the best intentions and often don’t do what I’ve planned. This type of to-do list makes a lot of sense to me.
Welcome Stacey! I am so glad you like my idea. Hope you find it helpful. 🙂
