Get Organized! Simplify your life with a weekly plan.
Each Sunday night I make a plan for the upcoming week to make sure that I am focusing on what is truly important in my life, rather than just crossing tasks off my to do list.
I want my life to be more than average, so I have to be intentional about how I spend my time. Planning my week enables me to accomplish tasks in line with my true priorities.
I divide my plan into five categories:
PERSONAL- habits that keep me healthy and happy
PEOPLE– activities that promote relationship with the people I love
PURPOSE– tasks that enable me to fulfill my purpose in life
PASSION– activities and experiences which enable me to enjoy life
PROJECTS– priority tasks that need to be finished this week
Last week’s plan.
I had a restful weekend, so I think I can manage a few more goals than my plan for last week! 🙂
A friend who lives close by and whose son works at the same location as my two teens has been car pooling with me. This week the schedules coincide several days, so I will be in the car far less. Woohoo!
I only exercised a couple of days last week, so I am making that a high priority for this week, as well as spending some time at my favorite botanical garden. I am also working on a project for the blog and de-cluttering 10 minutes a day. (Join us for the 10 Minutes A Day Decluttering Challenge here and stay tuned for my June De-Cluttering Update!)

Yes! We actually taught the course years ago. Good for you for taking control of your money Daisy!
Is mass transit available in your area? That could help get some of your family members to work (if it’s available). We live in a big city but don’t act like it. We hop in the car to go everywhere. Today, my 12 yo daughter and I rode our bikes to the grocery store (it’s about 3 miles each way). I recently purchased a basket for the back rack of my bike and the bike came with a front basket. This summer, my goal is to save some gas money and get in better shape using my bike to run some errands.
That is a great idea Mandy, and yes, my husband does take the bus when he can, but the schedule doesn’t work when he works mornings because he has to be there so early. I am not quite ready to put my 16 year old daughter on the bus by herself, but I may be willing to let her ride with big brother in the near future. 🙂
My goal for the next several weeks is to work out a plan that I’ll FOLLOW for budgeting our money better, and staying within my daily calorie limit.
Also exercising, reorganizing closets, some gardening. A lot of fun stuff on the agenda. 🙂
