My Weekly Plan– Stay organized so you can live your true priorities!
My favorite way to stay organized is to make a weekly plan to ensure that I am focusing on what is truly most important in my life, rather than just crossing tasks off my to do list. After trying many types of planners, my current favorite is to hand write my plan in my journal.

I divide my plan into five categories:
PERSONAL- habits that keep me healthy and happy
PEOPLE– activities that promote relationship with the people I love
PURPOSE– tasks that enable me to fulfill my purpose in life
PASSION– activities and experiences which enable me to enjoy life
PROJECTS– priority tasks that need to be finished this week
You can see last week’s plan here. I was able to make quite a bit of progress in organizing my house this past week and I have a big garbage bag full of items to take to our local Goodwill in the next couple of days. If you are new here, check out my previous 10 Minutes a Day Decluttering posts here.
This week I am making a concerted effort to focus on relating to my family. It is so easy for me to be busy and neglect the most important relationships in my life, so this week I am focusing on enjoying and loving my husband and children.
We will be hosting a birthday party for one of my children at the end of the week, so I will be baking and finishing up some last minute details for the party. I am also limiting the time that I work on projects to the early morning hours so that I can spend more time with my children during the day. I find that because they are older and more independent I can get away with doing a lot of things other than paying attention to them.
I shared last week that I am working on turning our master bedroom into a haven after reading 31 Days to a Heart of Hospitality by Edie Wadsworth. I’ll be sharing the first photos in our bedroom transformation this week, so stay tuned. 🙂
