Now through March 1st Publix is celebrating Italian Days where you can get great prices and coupon savings on General Mills brands like Green Giant and Progresso, and you could be 1 of 500 winners of a $100 Publix giftcard or the winner of a $25 Publix giftcard from The Peaceful Mom!
I have a couple of dishes that I enjoy making using General Mills products.
This week I’m making My Easy Beef & Veggie Soup (recipe here) with Progresso Beef Broth. I like to use the Progresso brand because it has no MSG.
I also like making my Cheeseburger Casserole with Muir Glen Fire Roasted Tomatoes. We don’t always spend the money for organic products, but when I find Muir Glen tomatoes on sale, I usually buy a few cans.
During the Italian Days event, you can enter for a chance to win a $100 Publix® gift card! ( 500 shoppers will win.) To enter for a chance to win and to download great coupon savings and delicious recipes, look in-store or visit www.clickcallmail.com.

cereal!!
I just bought the Fiber One Chocolate cereal for the kids (I’m on low-carb) and they both really love it! It’s a miracle! 🙂 Also I could eat a half bowl and stay under my daily carb count.
We love the Pillsbury Cinnamon rolls. I have yet to master homemade rolls 🙂
I liked you on fb. Love your blog. I’d have to say Cheerios, such a classic.
We buy one box per week of the Raisin Oatmeal Crisp. It’s expensive but I have taken care of my Mother for eight years and she suffers from Alzheimers. She can no longer use eating utensils. Almost every morning we cut up a banana, cantaloupe or some type of fruit medley, a bowl of dry Raisin Oatmeal Crisp and a cup of milk served with a drinking straw. She Eats her entire breakfast!! She weighs less than 115 pounds and it’s important for her brain and her health to start out her day with a good breakfast. Our Area Walmart and Krogers do not carry this particular General Mills Cereal but our local Publix does stock it. And we also try to keep our grocery spending to $125.00 to $145.00 a week. This cereal usually cost $4.25 to $4.89. And very rarely will Publix run a “Buy one, get one free” on this particular product. I have written my Mother’s Breakfast regime in detail hoping I can help others if they are having trouble with their family members eating enough breakfast. Thank-You for sharing your encouragement, charts , knowledge and Frugality. Both my Children and my husband and I are Big Dave Ramsey Fans. With Love, Carol
