Kimberlee,
Great site – a lot of great tips.. I am wondering with regards to the $100.00 and $125.00 menus; what are the calorie contents and nutritional breakdowns per day/week??
Blessings,
Christina
Hi Christina–Sorry I don’t have a way to do a calorie and nutrition breakdown. There may be a website that you can plug the meals into to find out, but I have no idea.
So, do you not always do gluten free? I was hoping your waffle recipe was gluten free 🙂
Here is the link to the gluten free waffles 🙂 https://thepeacefulmom.com/2012/04/02/gluten-free-waffle-recipe/. My daughter is the only one who eats completely gluten free because she has an allergy. Here is a link to the adjustments we make for her: https://thepeacefulmom.com/2012/09/24/simple-gluten-free-weekly-menu-924/
Awesome, thanks! I just started on the gluten free eating, and it’s hard some days!

Yummy homemade waffle syrup. Just love the inspiration you give to have things from scratch. Such an important component. Here’s our family’s menu for the week (it was one of those weeks I surprised myself under budget: http://www.elenisavesu.com/2012/09/elenis-weekly-meal-plan-on-budget.html. Thanks Kimberlee
Thanks for linking up Eleni. 🙂
You have helped me so much – just by seeing that it’s simplicity in eating that really helps. (and simplicity doesn’t mean processed/convenient – just simple ingredients and whole foods). I had an outrageous food budget while I was working full time. One month we spent $900 eating out/on groceries and we only have a toddler to feed. I have now been a stay at home mom for one month and I’m down to $50/week and it’s now kind of a fun game. It’s a challenge I enjoy – I really focus on healthy whole foods and it’s possible with a budget. Thank you again for being so supportive and inspirational!
Wow Bethany–that’s impressive! I am so glad that I can encourage you. 🙂
So does the $125 include the snacks that you do eat? Sorry if this has been addressed somewhere else. I read the article. Just was not sure if the cost was part of your normal weekly budget.
Yes, the snacks are included in our weekly budget. I generally stock up when I find something on sale. You can check back later today to see this week’s shopping or click here to see previous weeks. 🙂
