Just Keep Moving!
Life is busy and in the midst of all that busyness, it’s easy to end up at the end of a week (or month!) without having really accomplished anything. It is so true that if you aim at nothing, you will hit it every time.
To ensure that I’m living life on purpose, I make a weekly plan. I started calling it my Just Keep Moving List to encourage myself that even though I may be slow, I’m making progress!
Here’s this week’s plan (and an update on last week!):
Last Week:
Walk 3 days √ (I gave myself a break since we were traveling part of the week, but I did have an amazing 45 minute trail walk/run that was very refreshing.)
This Week: Run 2 days, Walk 2 days, Run at least 1 mile on one of my runs
Last Week:
Enjoy my extended family and time with my girls as we travel. √
This Week:
Date with hubby
Driving practice with son
Get everyone started on our new school schedule
Have one-on-one devotion time with 11 year old 4 mornings
Each week I choose a project to work on ten minutes a day (read why here).
Last Week: relax while traveling √
This Week: Unpack and organize school books on the shelf my sweet husband just put together for me.
Last week:
bedtime by 10 pm 1/2 √ (3 out of 7 nights)
drink 8 glasses of water daily (see my DIY drink reminder magnets here) X (I definitely didn’t drink enough while traveling 🙁 )
This week: bedtime by 10 pm, drink 8 glasses of water daily, eat veggies every day
Last Week:
Morning prayer and reading 1st thing √ (most days)
Listen to worship music as we are traveling √ (most days)
This Week:
Morning “brain dump” (more about this later) and journaling first thing
Do art journaling 2 days
Do you have some areas in which you want to accomplish more? Leave a comment about your plans for this week.
Even a little progress is moving in the right direction! 🙂

I’m taking the plunge! This week my goals are to walk five miles, drink 8 glasses of water a day, daily morning study, documenting my time and working on reaching my blogging goals for 20 minutes every day. Thank you for giving me an incentive to work towards.
You are very welcome Madison–great goals!
I have a lot I want to accomplish! I think that it will be easier if I do it in smaller steps though- because I sometimes find myself very stressed and overwhelmed, therefore I don’t want to shut down. I just started a new job so #1: I want to become more comfortable in my new job. Working with the public can be stressful, but if I pace myself and pray I bet I can do this. I also am starting my 3rd year of college this year. So, #2: I want to not put things such as homework assignments off and procrastinate. I need to do things as soon (or close to) when they are 1st assigned. AND because I just moved into my 1st apartment my #3 is I want to take at least 15 minutes of my day, every day, to unpack some boxes and find homes for my belongings. As well as clean and donate items that I don’t want or need.
PS. I LOVE reading your website kimberlee! I may only be 20, not a mom, and probably not your typical reader… but you truly inspire me to do better for myself, become more organized, and be a better me.
Hi Haley! I get easily overwhelmed as well. You are wise to know this about yourself and to break large projects into smaller pieces. Thanks so much for letting me know you feel encouraged by the website (and you might be surprised to find out that I have lots of 20 something readers 🙂 ).
