Herbed Pork Roast Recipe- Great easy recipe for a special dinner and you can shred the leftovers, throw some barbecue sauce on and have BBQ sandwiches!
Herbed Pork Roast Recipe (crock pot)
Ingredients
- 3 pound pork roast (with some fat)
- 1 teaspoon Lawry's seasoning salt
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon sage
- 1 1/2 teaspoon rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet on medium high heat.
- Sear roast on all sides in hot skillet.
- Mix spices and sprinkle on all sides of roast.
- Place roast in crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hrs. (depending on your crock pot).
- After you remove the roast from the crock pot, you can make gravy from the juices.

Hey Kimberlee! I know this is old, but I’m just looking for some frugal recipes that my picky family might eat. Do you put any liquid in the crock pot with the meat?? Aren’t you supposed to put a little in or something? I’m not Betty Crocker, but I think that’s what my mom always says! Thanks!
I don’t add any liquid when there is fat on the meat, but if your meat is lean you would need some. Also, I have an older slow cooker that doesn’t get as hot as some of the newer models, so that may be why I can get away with it.
