Do you have problems in your life (who doesn’t)? I invite you to walk into the power of TODAY in your life.
When we are in the middle of difficulties, they tend to obscure our view of the future. The problem balloons in front of us and the way out seems too distant and hopeless. It seems just too huge an obstacle to overcome. When we are hopeless, we think that nothing matters and nothing will ever change.
Change can happen, though, and the key to changing your situation is to unleash the power of TODAY.
TODAY is your vehicle to a better tomorrow. No matter how small the steps you are taking, you are either moving toward your goals and a better future, or you are moving away from your goals and deeper into the mire.
If you are in debt: What small step can you take TODAY to save a little money? Do that every day this week and put the money you have saved in an envelope or separate account. Once you reach $50 or $100, use it to pay off some of your debt.
If you are buried in clutter: Spend ten minutes in one room and take out as many things as you can to give away. Put those things in a bag or box and put them immediately into the trunk of your car. On your next errand day, drop them off at a local thrift store (and do not look in the bag and take anything out!).
If you are overweight or out of shape: Take a walk for 20 minutes. Eat as many vegetables as you can today. Drink a glass of water every hour.
If you are worn down from the demands in your life: Take time to rest today. Do something that feeds your soul–gardening, a walk in the park, a bubble bath, listening to music.
If you have an unfulfilled dream: Write your dream down and take one tiny step to move toward it today.
Don’t miss your opportunity to move your life in a positive direction TODAY. TODAY is your doorway to a better tomorrow.
What will YOU do today? Leave a comment so we can cheer you on! 🙂
My daughter shared your website with me. I truly believe that God gives us people in our lives, such as you, to sometimes change our perspective, if only slightly so that life can seem bearable. Thank you for being that someone for me today. God bless you for following through the little steps each day! I sometimes forget that He is always there, and it is sometimes by giving a hand to us that we needed to hold!
I am so glad that God led you here Leah! I pray that He will provide whatever you need today (and tomorrow!). 🙂
Thank you so much for this article…I am buried in clutter!!! I see it everywhere and it is a little overwhelming…OK alot of overwhelming especially since I am supposed to be moving in October. I have to declutter!! I needed this article to remind me to focus on TODAY!!
You are very welcome–you can do it! Just focus on ten minutes at a time. 🙂
I am beginning to feel better after finding out I have Celiac Disease. In the past few months, I have focused on keeping up with my work responsibilities, having medical tests and appointments, and whatever I could to do at home. Things have been pushed to the side, overlooked and not attended to as needed. I am seeing an improvement in my energy level but the house is overwhelming me.
I need reminders like this to keep me on the road to improvement.
I am so sorry about your diagnosis Tricia. I hope you start to feel better soon, and remember: baby steps. 🙂
