How did you do this week? Link up your savings posts below!
Spent about $90 this week. $70 at the regular grocery store and $20 at Aldi for milk ($2.38/gal), bread and other things that are cheaper than the reg. grocery store. This week family packs of ground beef were on sale at the grocery store at $2.48/lb for extra lean (reg. $4/lb) and 8 pc cut up chicken $4.99 (reg. $8.00). Grabbed other stuff for dinners mainly and lots of fresh fruit. We go through a ton of fruit in our house.
That’s a great price on ground beef. Great job Michelle!
BOGOs at Publix Thomas Bagels for $4.49, Natures own Honey Wheat Bread for 2.49, Kraft Squeeze Mayo for 5.29, Birds Eye Voila frozens for 5.49, Nabisco mini paks for 6.49. Caprisuns 3 for 6.00 PopTarts 3 for 5.00, goldfish for 2.39 Pillsbury 4pk products and Voskos greek yogurt all 1.00, half dozen eggs for .99, (saving .17 on one dozen I bought two half dozens.) Publix sandwich meat 2 for 6.00 fresh pineapple on sale for 2.00 cored and cleaned.
Total 89.65
dinners included ham and turkey sandwiches served with already purchased spinach dip and mini-club crackers, grilled pineapple with beef lo mein and already purchased egg rolls, ham croissants, shrimp scampi and garlic toast, bagels and yogurt for breakfasts, (pop tarts when running late), snacks and capri-suns for my son’s baseball team for the week, and an already purchased lasagna. I’m not usually a frozen food kinda gal, but with a BOGO sale and lots of baseball going on while getting over surgery, I figured I’d rather microwave or stir something up after the game than slave for another hour over the stove. (I was soooo right!)
Great haul for $87… nice to see lots of meat & veg in your totals
Thanks Clare 🙂
