Have you tried any Jovial Foods products yet?
Jovial Foods recently sent me some of their organic gluten free cookies and pasta to try in exchange for a review and although I usually let my gluten free daughter do most of the taste testing around here, I decided to try these for myself.
I was very pleasantly surprised!
Not only are these products gluten free and made from organic brown rice cultivated by small scale farmers, but they are delicious!
The Jovial Organic Fig Fruit Filled Cookies actually reminded me of the Fig Newtons that my grandfather used to share with me as a child, but with an even softer texture and a fresher taste.
The Jovial Organic Vanilla Cream Filled Cookies are yummy too, but the Chocolate Cream Filled Cookies were so good that I would actually choose them over non gluten free varieties!
Both the Jovial Fig Fruit Filled Organic Gluten Free Cookies and the Jovial Vanilla Cream Filled Organic Gluten Free Cookies are on sale at Amazon right now for just $3.30 a box with FREE Super Saver Shipping on orders over $25! (Click the links to go to the correct page.)
The Jovial Organic Gluten Free Brown Rice Pasta recently won the best GF Pasta Taste Test Award at Cooking Light (read more here) and I have to agree. The Jovial Organic Brown Rice Spaghetti tastes just like regular semolina pasta but with a firmer texture like that of whole wheat pasta. We were very happy with it and, unlike other gluten free pastas we’ve tried, I would actually serve this to the whole family. My teenage son even enjoyed the taste!
The even better news? Jovial Foods is sponsoring a give away to one of my readers including:
1 box Jovial Organic Brown Rice Penne Rigate
1 box Jovial Organic Brown Rice Spaghetti
1 box Jovial Vanilla Cream Filled Cookies
1 box Jovial Chocolate Cream Filled Cookies
1 box Jovial Fig Fruit Filled Cookies

I would love to try the Fig cookies as I have discovered the Gluten is what has been causing migraine headaches. I love Figs and when mixed with a cookie, what could be better.
I would love to try any of these products for my nephew, who has a severe gluten allergy.
We would love to try the fruit filled cookies! They look and sound great! Thanks for the chance to win!
I tweeted about the giveaway! Thanks!
I shared on FB.
My entire family has gone GF. It isn’t always easy to find good tasting GF foods, so we just don’t incorporate it into our diets. Since I prepare the foods, I’m always hesitant in buying GF foods because they don’t always taste so good. I always end up throwing away the food (along with the money). 🙂
Shared on facebook 🙂
I am just starting GF this week so I have not missed anything yet, but I’m sure there will be a long list of things pretty soon 🙂
I would like to tty the cookies. Going gluten free in 2012 to see if it helps with some health issues.
I miss cookies! Would love to try some new ones…once in a while I buy some GF cookies, but they are so pricey!
Thanks for offering this give-a-way!
Definately the chocolate cookies! I love chocolate & since I’ve put my son on a gluten free diet I miss them sooo much!

Any of these products would be great to try. My son has type one diabetes and Celiac Disease and he really misses cookies. Most of the GF cookies have so many more carbs and we try to limit each meal to about 75-80 carbs.
Thanks for the chance to win !!
i would love to try the fruit fig cookies. i try to eat gluton free, since i am borderline celiac. but it is hard, the prices are so high….
Shared it on Facebook
My Grandaddy used to share fig Newtons with me too! Fond childhood memory. So I’d like to try those!
We are just finishing our transition to GF and the thing I’m most scared about losing is crackers! I have a 9 month old, 4 y/o, and 6 y/o and we eat a lot of crackers. I have a recipe for a cracker that looks pretty good I’m going to try this afternoon but some free samples of products would be GREAT!
The thing I miss the most is warm , delicious sourdough bread, the kind with the shiny , chewy crust like I grew up eating in the SF bay area. I would also love to find GF gnocchi and ravioli. The ice cream cookies sound delicious!
I miss thick crust pizza and crescent rolls. I would love to try these cookies!
I miss Lasagna!! I would love to try the pasta and cookies. I havent really found anything that tastes nearly close to regular pasta. And my girls both are gf also and hate all the cookies we have tried except gingerbread men.
I have been GF for almost a year and I miss bread and pasta’s the most!!!
We are still in process of switching my son to gluten free but we eat with him so he don’t feel left out I’ve noticed he misses his cookies the most.
I miss croissants.
Oddly enough I really miss saltine crackers since going GF! I haven’t found anything that tastes like saltines.
I miss texas toast bread!

I miss fig newtons now that you mention it! Donuts and bagels… The good kind.
would share with my granddaughter who is gluten free
I am recently (2 months) GF and the only food I really miss is a good french baguette. Those cookies look scrumptious!
Shared the give-away on Facebook.
I’d have to add when I am making the house GF, my daughter misses cookies the most — just simple vanilla wafers and graham crackers — any simple sweet treat. I’m trying to include her in the GF trial to see if it improves certain behaviors.
I’ve been trying to go GF to see if it helps my fibromyalgia-like symptoms. I was doing rather well until the holidays. Ughh, I feel terrible now with the flour (and probably sugar overload too). I can find GF pasta in a nearly-local store but it’s very pricey. I DO miss being able to buy whole grain pasta and plan meals around it so easily, but I think what I miss the most is bread and being able to make a quick sandwich.
I’d like to try the Brown Rice Spaghetti.
I miss “real” pizza crust and bagels. I’d love to try the Jovial products!
I also posted this to my Facebook page. 🙂
My 10 year old daughter is recently gluten-free. Still searching for a pasta that is not too mushy- would love to try this!
I miss realistic tasting pasta. That is a dream…..& a craving. I also would truly enjoy tasting the fig newton type of cookie! But feeling good for the first time in my life is so incredible…..since 2003. I am so pleased with all of the new GF companies! Being GF is finally not a bad thing.
I really miss having chocolate chip cookies with my children. The gluten free chocolate chips are very expensive so they will have to be a rare treat. I would enjoy trying the Jovial chocolate cookies !
I miss french crusty bread…. and being easy to feed.
I want to try those cookies, I saw these at the local store and kinda drooled a little, but couldn’t justify the treat at the time…
Thanks!
I am gluten and CORN free, so most pasta is a no no for me. Would love to try the fig cookies, if they are also corn free!
I miss SOFT bread!
Cookies ! 🙂
I never thought I would miss a Sandwich so much, but I sure do!!!
I would love to try Jovial Organic Brown rice penne rigate!
I miss breads the most. While I’ve both bought and made decent substitutes for toast, I miss croissants and naan and pita and all those others delicious breads! (Lissy, who posted above, is my sister and I love that we both posted about croissants, which I did before realizing that I could see what she put!)
I really miss going out for a cheeseburger without needing to bring my own bun, and/or only stick to restaurants that serve GF burgers. Not being able to order a soft, chewy pizza is also kind of a downer.
I miss Ritz crackers the most since going GF. I have done a lot of trying new foods and brands and am having really good luck in finding replacement options for my primary staples. Gf has become a great adventure for me.
I was diagnosed GF in 2005 – and now learned I have a HIGH dairy allergy. So trying to find foods that not only taste good, are priced right, and are healthy has been a challenge. I love your website – but I am so not one to spend a lot of time cooking. I did get a free sample of their pasta – and am hooked. YUM no aftertaste and great reheated. I would love to try their cookies – fig newtons – I haven’t had those in SOOOOOOO long.
Thanks for all your insights!!!
I would like to taste the chocolate cookies you show and described. They sound and look delicous!
I also posted this on facebook. thanks for running this contest!
I’m so glad to have found your blog this past year! It has really been helpful with my gluten free 2 year old. Plus, my 4 year old loved the Truth in The Tinsel! Thanks for all you do!
I really miss chocolate croissants! Nothing like chocolate wrapped in butter!
Shared it on twitter. Svenskamommy
I would love to try the pasta!! I haven’t found a good one yet! The only good gluten free cookies I’ve had are one’s I have made myself. I would love to try these new products!
I would love to find a gluten free cookie that doesn’t taste like it’s made out of sand or cost an arm and a leg! Thanks for the contest!
I really miss good pasta…mmmm.
We are, for the first time, about to embark on a GF lifestyle to help benefit our youngest daughter with her neurodevelopmental therapy. I know the product she would like best would be the chocolate cookies. We are a bit stressed about the change because we’ve heard it’s difficult to find options that really taste good. The added expense is an issue too. We’ll see how it goes!
I would love to try the Organic Brown Rice Penne Rigate. I have been on the hunt for a good GF pasta, and have yet to try this one!
My 10 year old has been gluten free ever since he was diagnosed with Celiac Disease 9 years ago and the food that he wishes he could eat the most is pretty much any treat his classmates bring on their birthdays at school (cakes and cookies!) Sure we’ve found ways around it like leaving extra treats with the teachers or if we have warning we send him with a cupcake, he would still just love to fit in and enjoy what everyone else is eating!
I do not have to eat the GF products, but, I do want to eat healthier foods. I love pasta and the cookies! So I would be interested in trying any or all of your products! I would love to enjoy some GOOD GF foods!
I miss pizza the most because I haven’t found a crust that I like yet. Thanks for having a giveaway!
Pasta, without a doubt.
Oh my word. Fig Newtons are the one cookie I miss the most! Any other cravings and I can make them from scratch but not Fig Newtons. It was just a matter of time before some smart cookie turned them gluten free 🙂
I don’t have to eat GF, but I have 2 friends who do. I would love to win some food for them since it is so expensive when you are on a tight budget like they are
I would love to try the Penne pasta and the cholocate cookies! I have found some replacements for the pasta, but it’s not like the real thing…I have just gotten used to the way it tastes. Would love to try something new!
Thanks for the give-a-way! And – I really miss chocolate cookies!
I think I miss having spaghetti most of all since I went “gluten-free”. Spaghetti seems like the ideal “comfort” food, so I miss it the most.
