One way I save money in the kitchen is by using a Reusable Oil Sprayer.
I purchased mine at a bed and bath store for $6.00 after a 40% off coupon, and I’ve had it for over two years.
The spray oil from the grocery store costs me about $2.50 per can and lasts 1-2 months. I can purchase 32 ounces of olive oil on sale with a coupon for around $6.00 which refills the sprayer multiple times and lasts around six months.
Using the oil sprayer is not only more economical, but it’s also healthier because I can use extra virgin olive oil (purchased on sale with a coupon!) instead of the spray can oil which contains chemicals and propellants. I’m also being more environmentally friendly by using a reusable sprayer because I’m producing less trash.
Be aware that the reusable oil sprayers don’t work exactly like the spray cans you get in the store. Rather than a light mist, you will get a slightly thicker coating.
If you don’t have a bed and bath store nearby, you can purchase the Misto Oil Sprayer here on Amazon.com.
You can also print a coupon for $1.00/1 Filippo Berio Olive Oil here (save the coupon for a sale to get an even better deal!).

I bought this very same sprayer and worked great for a while. It started to clog after about 6 months. Instead of a spray, it was more like a stream. I took the pump apart and discovered some black gunk inside that couldn’t wash out. If you have encountered this problem and have a work-around…I’d love to hear it.
Thanks
Ooh yuck! I haven’t had that experience, but I might try some bleach water to clean it. I hope that works.
I have this same sprayer and it is one of my favorite things in my kitchen!
