Spent $7.32 ($42.40 value-83% savings!).
Highlights:
This week I took advantage of a $5/$30 Winn Dixie coupon plus a $20 Publix Gift Card (Conagra deal) to get some gluten free items we would not normally buy.
I had planned to go to four stores to buy the sale items (see my post here), but I only had time for two.
I did most of my shopping at Walmart and after calculating everything, I only spent $2.96 more than I would have spent going to the other stores. I also discovered that a couple of items are now cheaper at Walmart than Save A Lot where I had been buying them (another good reason to keep a price book!).
Spent $90.67 ($133.01 value-32% savings).
[not pictured: 26.5 oz. Great Value Natural Peanut Butter, 20 lbs. ground chuck and 28 oz. Bush’s Baked Beans]
Highlights:
I was able to price match the ground chuck to $1.99/lb which is the lowest price in our area, saving $10.60 total.
Weekly Total: $ 97.99 ($ 175.41 value)
Monthly Total: $ 430.35 ($ 860.70 value)
($100/week budget for six people: I’m slightly over-budget for the month, but I was $75 under budget last month. )

We are a family of 3, and I have a budget of $400 a month…I’m a little ashamed that you can feed 6 people for the same amount that I can feed myself, my husband, and my 16 month old son. 🙂 I had previously been shopping every 2 weeks, but last week (as a result of reading your new E-book) decided to start shopping every week. I was very impressed that I was able to buy everything we needed for a whole week of meals, plus stock up on some meat, for a few cents under $100. I’m going to keep trying, & hopefully get my total down even more over the next few months. 🙂
I love your blog! Thanks so much for offering your E-book free, or else I may have never found you!
How exciting Tyler! You are doing a great job. So many people will read that information, but never do anything about it. Thanks for your encouragement too. 🙂
Okay gotcha! Thanks for clarifying! I really enjoy your blog – I’m learning so much. =)
I’m so glad Eileen! 🙂
