Truth in Advertising: You read my weekly plan last Monday. Here’s an update on how my week actually went:

Monday
Daytime and Evening activities went as planned except for lots of frustration during school.
I was so exhausted and just wanted to cry, but my sweet husband convinced me to snuggle up and watch a movie with him. It definitely helped.
Tuesday
My husband’s day off and he wanted to spend time together so my morning routine started much later than usual. Instead of getting upset about the delay I adjusted my expectations and crossed some things off the list.
Tuesday night we had family night and then we watched another movie and went to bed late.
Wednesday
I slept late!
So much for my morning workout. I did manage to get dinner prep done (browning sausage for Crockpot Italian Sausage) and make my grocery list and menu for next week.
I also did a load of laundry and some household cleaning while consuming half a bag of almond M&Ms.
Wednesday night is Date Night, but we were both so tired that we ended up watching another movie while sharing some San Pelligrino water. It was good to enjoy some more quiet time together.
Thursday
No morning walk (again!), but I did go grocery shopping right away. I did three loads of laundry (it just seems to multiply), some blogging and spent some time with my children.
Movie night with the kids. (Can you tell that we like movies around here?) We had watched Secretariat for date night and wanted to share it with the family.
Friday
I was determined to exercise and I ended up running about a mile. This set the stage for a very productive day: 2 loads of laundry, housework, and lots of writing and blogging,
Friday night we went to the girls’ swim team practice and I had a good workout with the elliptical and the weight machines.
Saturday
No exercise this morning, but I got a lot accomplished in the kitchen: I made scrambled eggs for breakfast, cut cantaloupe, marinated chicken for salad later, made broccoli slaw salad and cleaned everything up. The rest of the day was spent with the family and friends.
Sunday
Church, bowling with friends and my older three children then some rest!
So as you can see things didn’t go exactly as planned, but having the week scheduled ahead of time helped me to get back on track and I accomplished more than I would have without it. Planning is definitely my friend!
