This week’s menu ideas with the Kroger Deals.
Note: My Kroger Deals post (here) includes only the super sale items which will give you the most value for your money. The menu ideas include some regular sale items which can be found here. You may have ingredients on hand (potatoes, frozen vegetables) that will make these meals cheaper.
BBQ Chicken (Tyson Split Chicken Breasts $.99/lb) Cover with BBQ sauce and grill or cook in the oven for 1 hour at 350 degrees. If you don’t eat the skin, be sure to leave it on while cooking or the meat will be dry.
Serve with baked beans (Bush’s Baked Beans $1.69) and coleslaw.

Serve with your favorite veggie and baked pears (Bosc or Anjou pears $1.29/lb)
Seasoned Grilled Burgers (5 lbs Ground Beef $1.59/lb, McCormicks Grill Mates $1.00- Steak House seasoning is great on burgers!)
Serve with seasoned french fries (frozen fries, Lawry’s Seasoning $1.00)
Frozen Pizza (Tombstone $2.99)
Serve with Spinach Salad (Redi Pac Baby Spinach $3.00)
Rosemary Roasted Chicken ($.99/lb Kroger, $.78/lb Ingles) Make a paste from 1/4-1/2 stick softened butter, 1 Tablespoon crushed dried rosemary and 1 Tablespoon Kosher Salt . Apply to chicken skin. Roast uncovered in the oven for 2 1/2 – 3 hours or until meat thermometer reads 160 degrees.
Serve with sauteed mushrooms and spinach (Dole Portabella Mushrooms $2.50, Redi Pac Baby Spinach $3.00)
