If you are just beginning to lower your grocery budget, you may be feeling overwhelmed. Let me tell you my top secret: Stock up on groceries at the lowest price and build your menu around the sale items.

LUNCH

Ham sandwiches (Arnold Bread, Land of Frost lunch meat) x2
Progresso soup and Pillsbury biscuits

Parmesan Coated Chicken Strips (recipe here), salad, Orange slices
(you will need shredded fresh parmesan found in the bagged cheese section.)

If I have any extra money in the budget I will buy more of the super sale items (chicken, potatoes) for future use. As I continue to buy extras of the lowest price items, I will begin to build a stock pile. Within a short while I am able to buy primarily sale items and save lots of money each week.
