Grocery Saving Tip: When an item is on sale at its lowest price, buy as much as you can afford and use before it expires.

Our favorite bread went on sale so I bought extra to put into the freezer. I would buy more, but we only have a small freezer right now.

 WALMART–Spent $68.54.

I did not use the Walmart’s Ad Match Guarantee this week because I was short on time.

Weekly Total: $77.12

($125/week budget for six people–We are eating inexpensive, simple meals this week to save money for dinner out this weekend.)

do you know how much you would have saved by using the price match?? Just curious!! I tend to avoid Walmart unless it’s REALLY worth it…. Looks like you did phenomenal!! Especially on the bread! I buy it 4 loaves at a time when it’s B1G1 Free!! 😀

Jennifer, I did not have any sales flyers this week to match anything so I am not sure what I could have saved on–probably not much because I purchased pretty basic items. I know what you mean about avoiding Walmart. I like to go only if I have nonfood items to purchase or have a price matches from a couple of stores so that it saves me the time of driving to the other stores.

Arnold Healthy Nut is our favorite, too! Not sure if you have a Big Lots near you but ours have bread and it’s $1.60 a loaf there. We stock up and keep in the freezer.

I don’t think we do, but I’ll check. Thanks Dee!
