$125 Budget Weekly Menu –After two years of $100 Budget Menus, we’ve increased the grocery budget to $125 a week for six people including three teens.

(Please Note: You may not be able to replicate this exact menu for $125 because sales are probably different in your area and you will have different items on hand, but you can save money just by using a menu. :) )

*Items marked with an asterisk were purchased in previous weeks in the $125 Budget and are in the pantry, fridge or freezer.

BREAKFAST

Gluten Free Apple Pancake

Homemade Waffles with DIY Waffle Syrup, sausage

Cereal with milk x2

Egg and Cheese English Muffin

Cheese Toast, orange slices

Scrambled eggs, biscuits


LUNCH

Peach Berry Smoothie, popcorn*

Turkey Sandwich, carrots and broccoli* with ranch dressing* x2

Homemade Pizza Bagels

Tuna Salad

Nachos, carrots* with ranch dressing

PBJ, tortilla chips, apple slices with cinnamon

 

DINNER

BBQ Pepper Jack Bacon Burgers, potato chips

Seasoned Chicken Thighs* (sprinkle chicken skin with Lawry’s Seasoning Salt and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour), steamed cauliflower with butter and salt

Hot Dogs, baked beans*

Rosemary Roasted Chicken, steamed green beans*, roasted potatoes with herbs

Oven Baked Tacos with Beantastic Taco MeatBroccoli Slaw Salad* (broccoli slaw previously purchased)

Leftover Night

Dinner with Friends

It is so nice to see other people managing to have a varied diet on a budget. I hear people say all the time it can’t be done. I also get told you can’t lose weight on a budget, but I lost 98lbs that way and have written a lot about budget healthy eating.

I went to the farmers market this week and bought lots of squash, so I shall be making things with those this weekend.

this is awesome, very easy to follow and impressive! i have a similar series, $30 for 5 meals. gotta love saving money!
